Responding to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training

SARC is partnered with the Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services (AASAS) which offers the Responding to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training. Designed as a two-day workshop, this program teaches individuals the skills needed to properly handle disclosures and help survivors gain access to resources and services to help them heal. Some topics covered include communication skills, reporting obligations, child sexual abuse indicators, and the impact of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Please note that this is not a counselling intervention training program and there is a fee to provide this course.
