Jan Crommer, MSW, RSW. Clinical Specialization. Cert. ConRes: Family Mediation Specialization

Jan holds a Masters of Social Work with a Clinical Specialization in Families, Mental Health, Trauma and Addiction. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Work. Jan is the owner of Bridging Connections, a Private Practice providing therapeutic services for individuals, couples and families. Jan is a trained Mediator with certification in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Jan has worked in Medicine Hat in several capacities with lengthy terms as an Investigator for Child & Family Services and as a Mental Health Therapist for Alberta Health Services. Jan provides services for individuals who experience trauma related symptoms that are a result of childhood developmental experiences or related to incidents in adulthood including sexual abuse.

MaryLou Godard, Registered Psychologist

MaryLou Godard is a Registered Psychologist and Certified Play Therapist. She has received specialized training in trauma assessment from the Child Trauma Academy. She is also trained in trauma treatment from unique courses on child development and play therapy. Her passions include empowering children, promoting healing in relationships, and strengthening family bonds. MaryLou and her daughter traveled with a humanitarian group to Haiti in 2016, and this experience challenged her perspective and changed her paradigm. She is co-founder of Nexus Family Psychology, and organization which focuses on healing and strengthening family relationships (ex. parent/child; parent/teen). She has 3 children, loves to sing and make music, eat dark chocolate, and return to the serenity of nature when life gets too hectic.

Manju Mathew, Registered Psychologist, PhD

Dr. Manju Mathew is a Registered Psychologist in Canada as well as in India. She is an independent service provider of SARC and offers Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for adult clients. As she believes in inner strength of clients, she acts as co-pilot for clients in their unique journey of healing and self-discovery. Her main ingredient in therapy is empathy and compassion mixed with humour. Dr.Manju’s professional background shows her passion for what she is doing. She had undergone 12 years of rigorous professional training in psychology. She has PhD and 2 Masters in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology. She was trained in one of the topmost Institutes in India – National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences. However, she believes learning is an on-going process and she considers her clients as her best teachers. She also has 12 years of work experience and it spread over to 3 different continents like Asia, Africa and North America! This vast, multicultural exposure helps her to respect other’s values without any judgment. For Manju, work, family and community are equally important. She is always excited to learn more and be active in the community. She is teased by her family and friends for her ‘too much’ compassion for people and environment.  

Stacey Steele MACP, Registered Provisonal Psychologist

Stacey Steele MACP is a Registered Provisional Psychologist offering confidential trauma therapy to children, adolescents, and adults through SARC. Stacey uses many evidence based practices including a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy model while taking a person centered and strengths based approach to support the healing process. Stacey brings both warmth and compassion to the therapy room and draws upon a decade of experience in the human services field working with vulnerable and diverse populations. You can find Stacey most often walking the trails with her dog or enjoying a cup of coffee. 

 

Leanne Stehr, RSW, Registered Psychologist

Leanne Stehr is a Registered Psychologist and Registered Social Worker. She is an avid learner. In addition to her university education Leanne has completed many hours of training in Couple and Family Therapy, Trauma Therapy, and Play Therapy. For the last 14 years she has provided mental health counselling and therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She recently co-founded Nexus Family Psychology. She enjoys traveling and started her career in the field of mental health work in London, England. Her most recent overseas adventure was when she and her family moved to Taiwan to complete the adoption of her now 5 year old daughter. Leanne is fascinated and inspired by the healing power of relationships. She believes a safe and caring relationship between a counsellor and client and between family members can be the catalyst for change.

 

Deena West, M.C., C.C.C., Registered Provisional Psychologist

Deena West is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master of Counselling (M.C.). She co-owns and operates Keys to Hope Counselling Services in Medicine Hat. Deena is passionate about her work and compassionate with the people she works with. Deena believes counselling is an opportunity to explore and create change in one's life using a collaborative and holistic approach. Deena is currently one of the two Animal Assisted Therapists in the Medicine Hat area and works along side her own animals to assist people in therapy. Deena works with adults, youth, individuals, and couples experiencing a variety of life's challenges.
